From the Pastor's Desk - cont'd

2010 – A YEAR OF HOPE, ENCOURAGEMENT AND REWARD
As we hope in the Lord, let us live our hope in encouraging one another into Good Works. These are the days when all hands must be on deck in order to fulfill the injunction of our Lord: ‘Occupy Till I Come’ - Luke 19:13

We need not be idle neither should we be giving excuses why we cannot be able to join the crusade for the work of the Kingdom. There are activities in our Homes Neighborhood, Communities and Churches that we can be part of through which we can fulfill the great commission of our savior and Lord Jesus Christ.

People need to come to Him through our effective interaction with them. Pastors and Church Ministers cannot do it alone but all are to encourage one another to unite and carry the banner of the Gospel to all nooks and corner of the world.

As we hope in the Lord for His divine intervention in our lives let us hope in faith that He is coming back again to reward us for our faithfulness, steadfastness and obedience to Him.

This boils down to how much we love Him as we love our fellow brothers and sisters. As we show love to those who love us and even those who do not love us.

Let us place our Hope only in God this year. In doing this, the following shall be our guidelines:
1. We shall seek Him as we study and meditate in His word also communicating with Him in prayer.
2. We shall put into practice all we have studied.
3. We shall strive to live in holiness
4. We shall be an encourager to the brethren spurring ourselves into good works.
5. We shall let brotherly love abound amongst ourselves,
6. We shall always remember that we are Christ’s Ambassadors carrying on the Great Commission.
7. We shall be in readiness for His second coming to reward us according to how our work shall be.

This was how the wall of Jerusalem was rebuilt by Nehemiah and the people of Judah. Nehemiah 4:13-23

Up until 2009 many have experienced walls of their lives broken. You might think you are alone, you might think you are on your own without a helper. Are the walls that support and protect your family, walls of our businesses and jobs broken down? Are the walls of the truth of the gospel in our churches and congregation broken down? Are dreams shattered and it seems there is no way out? Be of good cheer the comforter and the giver of hope is here. His name is Jesus

AS WE HOPE IN HIM, ALL THE BROKEN WALLS OF OUR LIVES SHALL BE REBUILT IN THE YEAR 2010. AMEN
